Over the past 5 months, all of us at Alliance witnessed the “Power of the People” as COVID swooped in and disrupted every industry process that was in place.
As COVID continues to linger, most of us are working out of our homes, yet we are all working together and finding new ways to communicate. In an age of technology, it is ultimately people who are making things happen and yes, technology certainly comes into play while we Zoom and Teams with customers, clients, and team members. When I reflect on all that has transpired, I can’t help but applaud all of you for doing whatever it takes to keep things going and moving the business forward. When faced with unprecedented challenges, Alliance teams didn’t throw their hands up and wait for others to spoon-feed the solutions—rather, they grabbed the reins and took charge.
People • Innovation • Commitment • Collaboration • The Future
The core pillars of our Alliance mission statement are still standing strong. Through these challenging times our people are committed to doing whatever it takes to support clients, get in front of buyers, place product in stores, and into consumer carts. In many ways we had to reverse innovate. Instead of fulfilling promises at the touch of the button, manual processes came into play. For example, some of our team members hand-delivered product samples to buyers’ doorsteps. Collaboration took on a new form with daily Zoom meetings, where management shared information on the health of their teams and how to marshal resources to meet the needs of the business.
From here our future is bright. Even though COVID changed how consumers shop, where they shop, and what they consume—safety and innovation remain key to meeting the demands of our all-important industry. Now more than ever, consumers are seeking touchless, frictionless engagements when they shop online and in-store. The Alliance Marketing team is keeping pace with the new digital technology and adapting new routes to satisfy the needs of consumers.
I couldn’t be prouder or more inspired by everything you’ve done and continue to do. Stay healthy and enjoy the holiday season.
