This year, nostalgia has been a key component in the planning and development process, as the first Giant BBQ Battle event started in the early 90s.

Leaning into the 90s theme giving all the feels with bold typography, experimental patterns, and vibrant colors the Alliance Marketing team has worked diligently to create the event branding, Giant BBQ Battle website, mobile app, and social media. “We are thrilled to be part of the event this year,” says Lauren Smith, Creative Director of Alliance Sales & Marketing. “Giant Food and BBQ Battle teams have put together an incredible lineup of sampling and 90s themed entertainment, bringing nostalgic feeling back to life in D.C.”

Attendees can expect to witness World Class BBQ Competitions along with performances by artists like DJ Jazzy Jeff of Fresh Prince Fame, The Chuck Brown Band, Raheem DeVaughn and the Crank Crusaders, JRU Anthony, and many more over the course of two days. In addition, cooking demonstrations, experiential exhibits, photo booths, lots of free samples, and giveaways, are just a small portion of what’s to come at the event.
