Charlotte, North Carolina —Alliance Sales and Marketing launched a new corporate volunteer program this past week called Alliance Cares. With 14 offices nationwide, the goal of the program is to make an impact in regions where Alliance employees live, work, and play.
Alliance Cares grants employees two paid volunteer days each year. Employees who are working at Alliance’s headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina are given one day to volunteer for the nonprofit organization of their choice and two half days organized by the company. All employees working in a satellite Alliance office or remotely are awarded two days to spend with the charity of their choice.
“We were inspired by our employees to create this program,” said Scott Anderson, CEO and founder of Alliance Sales and Marketing. “There has always been a spirit of generosity at Alliance. We’re proud to continue to cultivate our culture of giving back with the introduction of Alliance Cares.”
To celebrate the launch of Alliance Cares, the inaugural volunteer event took place in Charlotte on Friday, May 10 at Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. A group of Alliance employees spent the afternoon sorting through donated items, packing roughly 700 pounds of food for local families in need.
“The next Alliance Cares event is happening later this year after a company-wide vote takes place to determine which organization we’ll be serving,” said Michelle Parker, Director of Human Resources. “We’re looking forward to continuing to grow this program and creating a culture of helping charities and causes that are close to our hearts.”
